In-Shop Services
In our office we offer an array of services from basic diagnostics,
virus/malware removal and cleanup, upgrades, repairs, etc. Unlike
other service departments, at Human Computer there is
NEVER
AN HOURLY CHARGE! That's right, no hourly charge for
service. All of our services are performed quickly and
professionally for a flat rate based on the service being performed
and our prices are outlined up front before you agree to any
services.
Some of our in-shop service include:
- Virus & malware removal
- Upgrades (RAM, hard drive, video cards, motherboards, software,
etc.)
- Basic and advanced diagnostics
- Data recovery
- Data imaging
- Data backup
- Laptop repairs (including component repairs & DC power jack
replacements)
- Data migration (from one computer to another)
- Software installation, upgrades, diagnostics, etc.
We specialize in laptop hardware repairs including broken DC power
jacks, cracked LCDs, motherboard replacements and data recovery.

If you do not feel comfortable disconnecting your computer and
bringing it into our office for repairs, we offer on-site pickup
and delivery. We will come to your home or office, disconnect
your computer, bring it into our office for service and then
deliver it back to you and reconnect everything when it's

To use this service the hard drive or original media must be
accessible via Microsoft Windows. This service allows you to
recover files which may have been accidentally deleted as well
as files on a hard drive with a corrupt file system. Data
recovery is not guaranteed and there is a $35 charge if no data
can be recovered. This process may take anywhere from a few
hours to a few days to complete.

Advanced Data Recovery

This service may make it possible to recovery files from a
damaged/defective hard drive which is somewhat operational. Data
recovery is not guaranteed and there is a $35 charge if data
recovery is not possible. This process may take anywhere from a
few hours to a few days to complete.

Data Transfer
(Transfer files from one location to another) |

This service includes transferring data files from one PC to
another, from one hard drive to another, or from a CD/DVD to a
hard drive, etc. without the use of any special data recovery
software or additional hardware.

Repair/Replacement of
Laptop

This service involved disassembling the laptop and removing,
then replacing the DC power jack on laptops in which the DC
power jack is either broken or loose.
The charge for this service is the total
price including parts, tax and labor.

rendered on Apple/Mac products due to additional labor and diagnostic
requirements.
On-Site Services
While we are able to take care of most problems in our office,
there are occasionally problems which require on-site service, for
that reason we offer on-site service in your home or office for a
flat rate fee of $85 per hour (with a minimum of $85). On-site
service can often be performed the same day without an appointment!
